After working as a nurse for 40 years, I have come across many patients who have been struggling with problems with their feet. Even simple things such as inability to cut toenails and painful hard skin on heels, all of which can cause such pain and discomfort when carrying out daily activities including just walking. Many of these problems are unavailable for treatment on the NHS unless living with chronic conditions and usually require long waiting times due to the high demand on their services.
